The City is Light is a dynamic collaboration between director and choreographer Kate Harpootlian, myself and various dancers. We scout the city at night and we look for available light sources that set a mood, a tone, and tell a story. The choreography is part of a whole, but Kate develops it in the moment with the dancers. We don’t have crew, it is shot handheld in the easiest manner possible. Started in June 2024 ongoing until our cups overflow with love for the city.
